ACCOUNTABILITY, OF PUBLIC FUNDS VOLUNTEER UGANDA EXTRA LIMITED C/O, is a duly incorporated body under the laws of Uganda operating within Uganda with the mandate of fighting corruption, Protection of human rights, ensuring CENTRAL REGISTER RECEIVED FIGHTING CORRUPTION, HUMAN RIGHTS AND LEGAL PROTECTION IN GOVERNMENTAL  GOVERNMENTAL INSTITUTIONS transparency and accountability of public funds, Legal protection and the rule of laws.

We address you as holders of public offices whose primary goal is to serve public interest.

Now, it has come to our attention that despite being a public office bearer, you have continued to act with impunity.

We formally addressed a letter to your office Dated 12.08.2024 under Ref No. VUEL/GEN/2024 and to date you have chosen to ignore it.

As you already know Section 37 of the Access to Information Act, 2005 gives us a remedy sought from Court by way of a Complaint.

When read verbatim section 37 (a) (supra) it states that, “a person may Lodge a complaint with the chief magistrate against the decision of an information officer”.

That, despite the section in the law mentioned herein, we alternatively may pursue criminal proceeding against you for failure to furnish us with the requested information.

In the meantime, we shall maintain Decorum and will require that you respond to our request within 07 days having already given you sufficient time to furnish us with the same that is; The assessment forms and receipts for the 100,000/- paid by Volunteer Uganda Extra (a community based organization) in Lwengo District.
