It’s been pomp and glamour in Entebbe Municipality, Wakiso district where the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Kyambogo swung into action to empower HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s bazzukulu.
This empowerment initiative was held at Muslim Grounds playground where thousands gathered. These included bazzukulu those that subscribe to the National Unity Platform (NUP), Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) and Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) among other political groups and pressure groups.
The event also attracted hundreds of political leaders, who included top district leaders.
Namyalo who entered Entebbe with a heroic welcome of the hundreds of youths on boda bodas kicked off the event with baddest dance strokes boosted by the hottest jams and raps of Gravity Omutujju and Winnie Nwagi’s romantic vibes.
She informed the fully charged mammoth of bazzukulu that President Museveni being a lead advocate of wealth creation, asked her to stretch her empowerment initiative to Entebbe district for his people to benefit.
Namyalo also dedicated the Entebbe empowerment initiative to 1st Lady Janet Kataaha Museveni who celebrated her 76th birthday this week.
“Just like we have always been empowering other people in various parts of this country, today we’re here to preach wealth. Our Jajja and his dear one Mama Janet Museveni are proud advocates of wealth creation. Therefore we have come here to tell you that use these tools to kick poverty out of your homes,” said Namyalo.
She said the ONC monitors government services and programs, fighting corruption, and ensuring that the wanainchi benefits from the government programs.
”I know very well that the government has good poverty eradication programmes, but sometimes you the local wanainchi don’t benefit due to a lot of bureaucracy, therefore as you wait for PDM cash and others, Jajja has sent me to give you these tools so that you can fight poverty and especially our ladies who have been going for ‘street night work’ please as you work hard to fight poverty also remember to tell those men to use condoms so that we can curb HIV deaths in Entebbe,” added Namyalo.
Namyalo said the equipment delivered to the bazzukulu during empowerment are directly from the President but some times well wishers come on board to support the cause.
Some of the sponsors cited at this empowerment drive included Salam Bank, Royal milk among very many others.
Among the items distributed amongst the bazzukulu included hoes, sprayers, gnut crushing machines, welding machines, mattresses and blankets, sawing machines, hair dryers, chapat-making machines, cooking oil, chips flying machines, tool boxes for mechanics etc.
Of course, Namyalo couldn’t forget reminding the thousands of bazzukulu that come what may, Jajja HE.YK Museveni must be back on the ballot come the 2026 elections and asked the empowered bazzukulu to stand behind her and mobilizer for Museveni’s victory.
