Luwero: Husband Catches Wife Cheating With His Best Friend—Moments Later, He’s Dead

By Our Reporter

A heartbreaking incident has shocked the residents of Namawojja village, Luweero District, after a 29-year-old man was stabbed to death by his wife in a moment of rage.

The victim, Godfrey Kamoga, was a peasant farmer living in Zirobwe Town Council. According to reports, Kamoga had long been warned by neighbors that his wife, Shakira Mbabazi, was having an affair with his close friend. However, he chose to ignore the rumors, believing that his marriage was secure.

On the fateful Wednesday night, Kamoga returned home unexpectedly and caught his wife and his friend together in his own house. In a shocking turn of events, instead of showing remorse, Mbabazi allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband in their sitting room, killing him instantly.

Local leaders, including Zirobwe Town Council Mayor Pascal Imarachi, revealed that the friend in question had been staying with the couple for months.

“People in the village had been telling him about the Affair, but he refused to believe it. Sadly, when he finally caught them red-handed, it cost him his Life,” Imarachi stated.

The Savannah Regional Police spokesperson, ASP Sam Twiineamazima, confirmed the incident, saying that officers responded swiftly after receiving a report.

“We arrested the suspect and registered a case of murder by stabbing. However, the Deceased’s Friend, who was involved in the affair, is still on the run,” he said.

Kamoga’s body was taken to Luweero Hospital mortuary for a postmortem as police continue investigations.
