Senior Presidential Advisor/Political Assistant to the President and ONC Manager, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has donated UGX 3 million to Namasuba College of Commerce for infrastructure development. The donation was made during the institution’s 16th Graduation Ceremony, which was held on Thursday.
While officiating the event, Hajjat Hadijah expressed her commitment to supporting educational institutions and empowering students with practical skills. In addition to the monetary contribution, she pledged to provide skilling equipment such as sewing machines, hair dryers, and toolboxes for mechanics.
This donation is part of Office of the National Chairman’s broader vision of empowering communities through self-help projects and skills development.
Further Hajjat Hadijah highlighted the importance of vocational training in reducing youth unemployment and improving livelihoods.
“Investing in education, particularly in practical skills, is essential for building a self-reliant and empowered society,” she noted.
Mr Jamil Ssebalu, the principal of Namasuba College of Commerce thanked Hajjat Hadijah and the ONC for their generous support, noting that the contribution would go a long way in improving the college’s facilities and the quality of education offered.
In recent months, SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah has been at the forefront of an economic empowerment program that has seen her distribute similar items across the country to further emphasize President Yoweri Museveni’s campaign to eradicate poverty.
