As the National Resistance Movement (NRM) gears up for a decisive season of internal elections, one name is commanding growing attention across Western Uganda and beyond: Prosper Tuhaise. More than a candidate, Tuhaise is the embodiment of loyalty, service, and generational transition within the Movement—a man whose track record makes a compelling case for why he should now be entrusted with the mantle of CEC Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda.
For years, Tuhaise has been a silent engine behind the party’s grassroots strength, especially in the western region. While others campaigned for visibility, Tuhaise mobilized for results. He has tirelessly carried President Yoweri Museveni’s message into communities, listened to the pulse of the people, and turned feedback into action—strengthening the Movement’s reach and relevance at every turn.
“Tuhaise doesn’t wait for rallies to engage. He is always on the ground, solving problems before they become crises,” remarked an elder in Rukungiri.
His name may not dominate the headlines, but within party structures, his loyalty is legendary. Those close to State House and Kyaddondo Road recognize him as one of the most disciplined and dependable young cadres—a man trusted with strategic responsibilities, discreet consultations, and tough assignments. In Museveni’s political circles, Tuhaise is seen not as an opportunist, but as a custodian of the Movement’s soul.
Tuhaise is known not for political noise, but for operational precision and ideological clarity. His supporters range from boda boda leaders and farmers to district councilors and religious figures—all united by one belief: Tuhaise builds, he doesn’t just promise.
“In Tuhaise, we see someone who will not only represent us—but who will protect the party’s vision for decades to come,” said a youth leader in Fort Portal.
As the NRM seeks to consolidate support and rejuvenate its structures, the Vice Chairpersonship for Western Uganda cannot be a ceremonial reward. It must be a strategic appointment. And Prosper Tuhaise fits that role perfectly—a loyal mobilizer who has already done the work, earned the trust, and shown the character to carry the region’s political future.
His campaign has been a masterclass in humility and structure—devoid of theatrics, driven instead by relationships, respect, and readiness to serve. It is no surprise that cadres, veterans, and youth alike are coalescing around him, not out of convenience but conviction.
As the delegates prepare to cast their votes, one truth rings louder than the rest:
Tuhaise has walked the journey. Now, it’s time to let him lead it.
The NRM must reward those who have kept its flame burning—not in air-conditioned offices, but in the villages, trading centers, and hills where elections are won or lost.
Prosper Tuhaise represents that kind of servant leadership. And Western Uganda is ready to be led by one of its own—trusted by Museveni, rooted in the party, and focused on transformation.
