The Ruparelia Group has officially announced the upcoming opening of its highly anticipated Paradise Island Resort, set for November 2025. Situated on a breathtaking private island in Lake Victoria, just 20 minutes by speedboat from Speke Resort Munyonyo, the resort is poised to redefine eco-luxury hospitality in Uganda.

Spread across 24 acres of unspoiled island beauty, Paradise Island Resort will feature 38 meticulously designed accommodation units, ranging from standard cottages and cliff-hanger cottages with sweeping lake views to deluxe two-bedroom cottages and three executive villas. Each unit comes equipped with top-tier amenities, including Wi-Fi, hot showers, private decks, and outdoor lounges—offering guests a peaceful retreat in nature without compromising on modern comfort.

Developed under the visionary guidance of Sheena Ruparelia and the late Rajiv Ruparelia, Paradise Island Resort is more than just a luxury getaway—it’s a heartfelt passion project. Built with sustainability at its core, the resort’s eco-conscious architecture ensures minimal disruption to the island’s delicate ecosystem, which features ancient rock formations and a diverse population of birdlife.

Construction began in May 2021, led by engineer Denis Wamani, with the first 22 cottages completed by 2023. Final touches, including additional accommodation units, lush landscaping, and expansive conference facilities, were completed in 2024.

Even ahead of its grand opening, Paradise Island Resort has already sparked major interest across the tourism and hospitality sectors. Travel enthusiasts, honeymooners, corporate planners, and eco-tourism advocates—both local and international—are eagerly anticipating its debut.

Beyond its luxurious offerings, the resort is expected to play a key role in elevating Uganda’s tourism profile and aligns seamlessly with national efforts to boost revenue from the hospitality industry. As part of the Ruparelia Group’s acclaimed portfolio—which includes landmarks like Speke Resort Munyonyo and Kabira Country Club—Paradise Island Resort strengthens the conglomerate’s influence in positioning Uganda as a premier East African travel destination.

With its prime location, immersive natural experience, and environmental stewardship, Paradise Island Resort is not just another resort—it’s a transformative addition to Uganda’s tourism landscape, offering a unique fusion of luxury, sustainability, and local charm.
