Police in Nakasongola district are holding a man accused of murder.
The suspect who has been identified as John Isoke, a farmworker at Kyandigita Bujjumbura village, Nabiswera sub-county, Migyera Town Council, allegedly beheaded his fellow worker identified as Herbert Ameir 26, on Monday around midnight and attempted to sell the head.
He was later arrested by Police officers who visited the scene of the incident after being alerted by the residents.
This is happening at the same time when Ugandas Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has called upon Ugandans to help the police fight crime in Uganda.
In a post on X formerly Twitter, the CDF revealed that the Uganda People’s Defence Forces is dealing with urban criminality in the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Region, Wakiso District and Entebbe.
He went on to say that the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Soldiers will also be on the ground monitoring the situation during the General Elections affirming that suspects who will attempt to cause chaos will be dealt with.
The General also revealed that the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has captured Ituri Forest in the ongoing operation in DRC.
