In a significant boost to community healthcare, the Katwe Kabatoro Community Grade III Health Centre has received a substantial donation of essential medical equipment from The Ruparelia Foundation, led by renowned philanthropist Dr Sudhir Ruparelia.
This contribution highlights a growing private-sector commitment to enhancing Uganda’s public health infrastructure and ensuring that quality medical care is accessible to all citizens.

The donation, presented recently, is a direct response to the pressing needs of the health centre, which serves a large and vulnerable community. The newly acquired equipment is expected to dramatically improve the facility’s diagnostic capabilities, treatment options, and overall operational efficiency.
This intervention will directly benefit patients by reducing wait times, enabling more accurate medical assessments, and potentially saving lives through timely and effective intervention.

Dr Sudhir Ruparelia and The Ruparelia Foundation have long been recognised for their deep-seated commitment to corporate social responsibility, with supporting health facilities remaining a top priority for their philanthropic endeavours.
This act of kindness and humanity is not an isolated event but part of a broader, sustained mission to bridge gaps in Uganda’s healthcare system.
By equipping grassroots health centres like the one in Katwe Kabatoro, the Foundation ensures that quality healthcare is not a privilege reserved for urban areas but a fundamental right available even in remote communities.
A representative from the health centre expressed profound gratitude, stating that the donation would alleviate significant challenges and allow medical staff to provide a higher standard of care.
The contribution has been hailed as a perfect example of how strategic partnerships between private entities and public health institutions can yield tangible, life-changing results for ordinary Ugandans.
The public and other well-meaning organisations are encouraged to follow this exemplary lead. As the Ministry of Health Uganda continues to advocate for collective action in the health sector, those wishing to support similar critical initiatives are invited to contribute.

Every donation plays a crucial role in building a healthier, more resilient nation.
