Let’s Build Our Country For A Better Tomorrow-Prophet T J Collins Calls For Cultural Revival, Peaceful Elections At EMI Service

By Swift Reporter

The auditorium of Epikaizo Ministries International was awash with colour and rhythm on Sunday as the church held its annual Cultural Service, a celebration that blended faith with Uganda’s rich cultural heritage.

Worshippers turned up dressed in traditional attire, including busuti, kanzu and other indigenous wear, transforming the service into a vivid display of national identity and pride.

Addressing the congregation, the leader of the ministry, Senior Prophet T J Collins, used the occasion to call for a return to strong family values anchored in culture, which he said remain essential to building a disciplined and upright society.

He warned that many of the challenges facing communities today can be traced to the gradual abandonment of cultural norms and responsibilities within the family.

“Our culture is not something to be admired only in history books. It is the foundation of our future,” Prophet Collins said. “Parents must understand that their first ministry is in their homes. Children should grow up knowing the value of respect, discipline, proper grooming and good conduct, just as our ancestors taught us.”

He urged parents to take a leading role in shaping the character of their children by modelling good behaviour, while encouraging young people to embrace the wisdom and manners passed down through generations.

According to the Prophet, values such as respectful language, hard work, moral discipline and proper grooming are not optional, but vital in raising citizens capable of building a stable and harmonious nation.

The sermon later turned to national issues, particularly the political climate as the country moves through a sensitive electoral period. Prophet Collins appealed for calm, restraint and peaceful engagement during campaigns and elections.

“Epikaizo Ministries International stands for peace,” he said. “Uganda is bigger than any political party or individual ambition. We must reject violence, division and intimidation and remember that we are one nation.”

He called on believers to act as ambassadors of peace in their communities by promoting dialogue and tolerance instead of confrontation.

The service ended with prayers for families, the nation and peaceful elections. Many congregants left feeling both spiritually uplifted and challenged to live out the values of their culture in their daily lives.

Through the Cultural Service, Epikaizo Ministries International underscored its belief that faith and culture go hand in hand, and that both are essential in shaping a morally grounded, peaceful and prosperous Uganda.
