Finally! Sudhir Ruparelia’s Skyscraper Attracts TotalEnergies & EACOP To Kampala CBD

By Frank Kamuntu

TotalEnergies and the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) Company have fully relocated their Ugandan operations to RR Pearl Tower One, a prime commercial skyscraper in Kampala’s central business district owned by city tycoon Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia.

The strategic relocation marks the end of years of operating from scattered premises across the capital and ushers the energy conglomerates into a single, centralised command centre at Plot 1, Yusuf Lule Road.

Previously, TotalEnergies EP Uganda and EACOP operated from Course View Towers along the same stretch, while TotalEnergies Marketing and Services Uganda was based at 8th Street in the Industrial Area. The new arrangement now brings all arms of the multinational energy interests under one roof, a move insiders describe as both operationally tactical and symbolically powerful.

By collapsing multiple offices into one integrated headquarters, the companies are expected to significantly enhance internal coordination, accelerate decision-making processes and streamline communication between the upstream, midstream and marketing arms of their Ugandan operations.

RR Pearl Tower One, one of the newest additions to Kampala’s skyline, has rapidly evolved into a magnet for blue-chip institutions, multinational corporations and top-tier government agencies seeking prestige, security and modern infrastructure in the heart of the city.

Among the other major occupants already settled in the tower is the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), further elevating the building’s status as a nerve centre of high-level administrative and corporate activity.

Real estate analysts say the choice of RR Pearl Tower One is not merely about office space, but about strategic positioning, corporate image, accessibility and state-of-the-art facilities that match the stature of global energy players like TotalEnergies and EACOP.

The development is also a significant commercial win for Sudhir’s Ruparelia Group, whose property portfolio continues to attract premium tenants in Kampala’s most competitive commercial zones.

With URA, TotalEnergies, and EACOP now operating from the same address, RR Pearl Tower One is steadily transforming into a powerhouse address where fiscal authority, energy powerhouses and corporate influence intersect within the same vertical complex.
