Felista Da Superstar Opens Up on the Rajiv Ruparelia Gesture That Changed Her Life

Popular young singer Felista Da Superstar has revealed how a single performance before the late businessman Rajiv Ruparelia completely transformed her life, earning her a fully funded education at Kampala Parents’ School after years of struggling with school fees.

Speaking during an interview with Andrew Iumba Katusabe on The Pan African Pyramid Show, Felista recounted the remarkable encounter that altered the course of her education and career.

According to the young singer, she had been attending another primary school where she was frequently sent home because her family could not afford tuition.

Everything changed after she was invited to perform during a ceremony at Kampala Parents’ School.

“I sang before Mr. Rajiv and his wife. They were very happy,” Felista recalled.

She said Rajiv was impressed by her talent while his wife immediately asked whether she would like to study at Kampala Parents’ School.

“The answer couldn’t have been no,” she said with a smile. “It was such a beautiful school.”

Following discussions with her father, the Ruparelia Foundation awarded Felista a full scholarship from Primary Five to Primary Seven.

The opportunity exposed her to a completely different learning environment.

“I felt very good because I was studying with children of ministers and other important people,” she said.

Felista completed her primary education at Kampala Parents’ School without paying tuition, describing the scholarship as one of the biggest turning points in her life.

Today, the singer credits that opportunity with giving her confidence, stability and an education that enabled her to continue pursuing both academics and music.

Her story is among many examples of Rajiv Ruparelia’s commitment to identifying young talent and investing in the education of children from disadvantaged backgrounds.
