Uganda is still in deep sadness after the death of one of its most talented young photographers, Saad Shots. His real name was Saad Byakuleka.
He passed away on Friday evening after a terrible motorcycle accident near the Air Base at Bugonga Junction. The news broke many hearts across the country.
Police said two motorcycles crashed, and both riders died instantly. Uganda Police Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, confirmed the news on social media, saying, “Yes, it is true.”
Saad was known for his beautiful photos in entertainment, wildlife, and sports. He had a unique eye for capturing special moments. Many people also knew him as a calm, kind person who loved riding sports bikes. Sadly, that same love for bikes led to the accident that took his life.
Now, National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine has also spoken about Saad’s passing. In a message on his official X (Twitter) account, Bobi Wine shared his sorrow. He said:
“Very touched by the tragic loss of super talented photographer @SaadShots. In him, our country has lost a visionary young man with a promising future. Our sympathies go to his family and friends, the photography world, and all who were touched by his work.”
This touching message from Bobi Wine has been shared by many fans online. It shows just how much Saad Shots was loved and respected.
As Uganda continues to mourn, we pray for comfort for his family and for Saad’s soul to rest in peace.
