Police in Uganda are investigating the death of a former Police commander who was found dead in a septic tank at his home in Kyengera Town.
The deceased had been suspended from the Uganda Police Force for allegedly shooting his wife 6 times, an incident that led to his arrest.
He was remanded at Luzira Maximum Prison after which he was released on Bail.
The body of the deceased was found with a rope around his neck. It was later taken to the mortuary by Police officers who visited the scene of the incident.
Uganda Police Force spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke has revealed that the police are going to conduct an investigation in order to establish what caused his death.
He affirmed that the police can’t rule his death as suicide until a postmortem is conducted on the body of the deceased.
Retired AIGP Asan Kasingye who took his X formerly Twitter to speak on has stated that the deceased was a good officer regardless of what happened.
Former Uganda Police AIGP, Asan Kasingye: ”Whatever could have happened, you were a good officer Julius. May God forgive you for things that didn’t go right in your life on Earth.”
