As part of a grand celebration following his sweeping unopposed victories from LC1 to NRM chairman Mbarara District, NRM loyalist Prosper Tuhaise Kururagire slaughtered 11 bulls—one for each subcounty—to thank voters for their support but also energize his bold campaign for the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda.
But this was no ordinary feast. It was a declaration. A statement. A mobilization. With these celebrations, Tuhaise officially launched his bold campaign for NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) Vice Chairperson for Western Uganda, setting the stage for what many believe is an inevitable victory.
The People’s Candidate, Chosen Without Contest
Tuhaise’s unopposed victories are more than political wins—they’re a referendum of trust. From the village chairperson level to the helm of NRM in Mbarara District, the people have spoken in one unified voice: Tuhaise is the leader they trust, the leader they need, and the leader they deserve.
Supporters across all subcounties describe his candidacy for Vice Chairman CEC as “the people’s command, not just a personal ambition.” No other candidate can claim such a sweeping mandate of confidence and loyalty.
A Campaign Rooted In Action, Not Rhetoric
At the heart of Tuhaise’s launch was his promise to build a modern, fully equipped NRM office in Mbarara—a long-overdue dream for the region. This office will be a nerve center for mobilization, dialogue, information dissemination, and party strengthening, reflecting the organizational prowess Tuhaise brings to every leadership role.
“We need a party office that reflects the strength of the NRM in Mbarara and Western Uganda,” Tuhaise declared to roaring crowds. “My vision is to make it a hub for coordination, dialogue, and service to our people.”
CEC AGENDA: Grounded In The People, Powered By Experience
With a deeply people-centered approach, Tuhaise’s CEC agenda is tailored to Western Uganda’s unique challenges and aspirations:
- Policy Formulation & Implementation: Prioritizing the needs of farmers, SACCOs, youth, and small traders.
- Information Dissemination: Establishing accessible and reliable communication platforms to bridge the gap between the party and the people.
- Constructive Criticism: Standing firm within party organs to ensure accountability and adherence to NRM values.
- Party Operations & Representation: Bringing a culture of professionalism and consistency in regional party activities.
- Transparency & Accountability: Leading by example with an open-door policy and results-based leadership.
The Man To Beat—If That’s Even Possible
As the CEC race intensifies, Tuhaise stands out not just for his wealth and work ethic, but for his unshakable loyalty to President Museveni, his track record of delivery, and his ability to mobilize from the grassroots up.
His supporters ask a compelling question: How can anyone compete against a man who didn’t just win, but was too respected to even be challenged?
Indeed, Tuhaise’s candidacy is not just another name on the ballot—it is a movement, a groundswell of hope and expectation from a region long yearning for transformative leadership at the party’s highest decision-making table.
The Inevitable Rise
From his financial independence to his unmatched organizational skill, Tuhaise has already proven he doesn’t just deserve the CEC seat—he was born to take it. Every village, every parish, every subcounty in Mbarara District is behind him. The momentum is unstoppable. The vision is clear. And the people are ready.
Western Uganda has made its choice. The rest of the party only needs to follow, we meet!
