Buyela Christopher Breaks Silence On Kadaga Alliance Rumours: “I Am Not A Political Prostitute”

By Our Reporter

In a pointed and unapologetic response to recent speculation, Buyela Christopher, a prominent National Resistance Movement (NRM) mobilizer and aspirant for the party’s Vice Chairperson Eastern Region seat, has publicly dismissed rumours of a political alliance with Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga.

In a strongly worded statement delivered through close associates, Buyela denounced the claims as “deliberate propaganda” aimed at sowing discord within the ruling party.

“I am not a political prostitute. I don’t change goal posts. I stand by my principles and the people who have mentored me,” Buyela declared, affirming his unwavering loyalty to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon Anita Annet Among.

Buyela’s name has been at the centre of online chatter and political speculation, with some bloggers and commentators alleging that he was drifting toward Kadaga’s camp in the lead-up to the NRM’s critical Central Executive Committee (CEC) elections. However, the long-time digital strategist and mobilizer has insisted that his loyalty has never shifted.

From as early as 2018, Buyela has been a key digital voice behind the rise and consolidation of support for Speaker Among, particularly during her ascent to the highest legislative office. Known for his tireless online activism, message discipline, and grassroots mobilization, he has remained among the most consistent defenders of the AAA (Anita Annet Among) brand.

Currently serving under the Office of the National Chairman (ONC), Buyela plays a national role in mobilization and political training. Yet despite his expanded mandate, he insists his political conscience is anchored in loyalty, not convenience.

“Even if she [Rt Hon Among] supports another candidate, I will never use that as an excuse to betray her,” Buyela explained. “I believe voters know my track record, and they will make the right choice based on that.”

According to Buyela, political relationships should not be transactional but anchored in values, mentorship, and shared purpose. “Our bond with Rt Hon Anita Among is beyond political interests. It’s built on trust, shared vision, and commitment to strengthening the NRM.”

He further cautioned both political players and online actors against dragging his name into political feuds or using him as bait in factional battles.

“Let me not be misused in battles I’m not part of. I have chosen to stand firm, remain clean, and win on the strength of my ideas—not on manufactured alliances,” he said.

With momentum building behind his candidacy, Buyela is positioning himself as a unifying, principled voice ready to bring issue-based leadership to the NRM’s Eastern Region CEC slot. Amid the noise of internal rivalries and strategic shifts, his message is clear: integrity, loyalty, and service will outlast propaganda.

As the countdown to the NRM CEC elections continues, all eyes are now on the digital-savvy mobilizer whose resilience, clarity of purpose, and firm stance against political opportunism may well set him apart in a crowded field.
