I Came To Kill You! What Killer Told Entebbe Couple, CCTV Footage Exposes Shocking Secrets

By Our Reporter

The brutal murder of a couple in Entebbe has sent shockwaves across Uganda as police uncover chilling details surrounding the case. The victims, David and Deborah Mutaaga, had recently returned home after spending over 30 years in Zurich, Switzerland, and were settling into their residence in Lugonjo, Nakiwogo Cell, Entebbe Municipality.

According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokespersons Patrick Onyango and Luke Owoyesigyire, the couple was murdered on Sunday night—just hours after hosting a joyful homecoming celebration with friends and family. The suspected killer struck shortly after the guests had left.

Two suspects—Angela Nakalema and David Golooba—have been arrested in connection with the crime. Police say the pair worked at the Mutaaga home but did not live there. Both reportedly left the premises around 7:45 p.m., moments before the murder took place.

Detectives have reviewed CCTV footage showing a man dressed in black scaling the perimeter wall using an electric pole. The footage captured the chilling moment he told the couple he had come “to kill them.” David Mutaaga was the first to be attacked and was forced to open the gate before being fatally stabbed. The killer then stormed upstairs, broke into Deborah’s bedroom, and murdered her in a similarly gruesome fashion.

In a shocking twist, no valuables were taken. Mobile phones and cash were found untouched, ruling out robbery as the motive. Investigators now believe the killings were premeditated and targeted.

Police sources also reveal that Deborah attempted to call for help during the attack—reaching out to both a neighbor and the very suspects now under investigation. Unfortunately, help arrived too late.

One emerging theory is that the motive could be tied to a long-standing property dispute within the Mutaaga family.

“This was not a random attack,” it is said. “The killer knew the compound, the CCTV blind spots, and had done prior surveillance. This was a calculated, deliberate execution.”

Police are urging the public to come forward with any information that could aid in the ongoing investigation.
