The Bitature family is in mourning following the tragic death of Marvin Beine “Boyo” Bitature, who passed away on 10th July, 2025, at the age of 35.
Marvin, the beloved son of prominent Ugandan businessman Patrick Bitature and Carol Bitature, died suddenly, leaving behind a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him. His passing has shocked and saddened many across the country, with the pain especially felt within the Vienna College alumni community, where he was known for his warmth, energy, and enduring friendships.
A devoted father, husband, and brother, Marvin’s life was defined by compassion, loyalty, and a vibrant spirit that touched many lives. His sudden departure is not only a personal loss to his loved ones but also a national heartbreak felt far and wide.
Funeral Arrangements
The Vigil Mass will be held on Thursday, 10th July 2025, at 6:30 PM at the family home on Plot 9, Malcom X Road, Kololo.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, 11th July 2025, at 2:00 PM at St. Charles Lwanga Church, Ntinda.
The Burial Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, 12th July 2025, at 12:00 noon, at the Bitature Residence in Ibanda.
Tributes Pour In
As news of Marvin’s death spread, tributes have begun pouring in from friends, national leaders, and alumni.
Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director of UNAIDS, expressed her sorrow:
“Deepest condolences Patrick and the entire Bitature family. Eternal rest grant Marvin oh Lord, and let perpetual Light shine upon him. May Marvin rest in Peace.”
Col. Edith Nakalema, a longtime friend of the Bitature family, shared an emotional tribute:
“I can’t find the words to express how sad I am following the passing of Marvin Beine Bitature. His grieving parents Patrick and Carol are dear friends of mine who’ve made significant contributions to the development of our country. This is heartbreaking news!”
The Vienna College alumni community also issued a heartfelt message:
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Marvin Beine ‘Boyo’ Bitature. A cherished friend, brother, and vibrant spirit, gone too soon. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
As Uganda mourns the loss of a young man full of promise and love, the memory of Marvin Beine Bitature will endure—in his family, in the lives he touched, and in the legacy he leaves behind.
