Mityana District Deputy Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Ms Prossy Mwanjuzi, has extended heartfelt congratulations to the newly appointed ministers from the Busoga sub-region following their recent appointments to cabinet positions.

In her congratulatory message, Ms Mwanjuzi described the appointments as a clear sign of confidence and trust in the leadership capabilities of the people of Busoga, noting that the region continues to produce committed and visionary leaders capable of steering national development.

“I warmly congratulate all the newly appointed ministers from Busoga upon this important national responsibility entrusted to them. This is not only a personal achievement for the individuals appointed, but also a proud moment for the entire Busoga region,” Ms Mwanjuzi stated.

In a special way, Ms Mwanjuzi also commended the Minister for the Presidency, Hon. Milly Babalanda, for what she described as outstanding and transformative leadership in the Office of the Presidency during her tenure.

She noted that Hon. Babalanda has played a critical role in strengthening the RDC institution across the country through improved welfare, increased salaries, facilitation, and operational support for RDCs and Deputy RDCs.

“Hon. Milly Babalanda has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to government service. Under her stewardship, the welfare of RDCs and Deputy RDCs greatly improved, including salary enhancements and the provision of new vehicles that strengthened monitoring and supervision of government programs,” Ms Mwanjuzi said.

She further applauded Hon. Babalanda for her efforts in mobilizing support for the ruling party, fighting corruption, strengthening patriotism, and ensuring that government programs effectively reach ordinary citizens at the grassroots.

According to Ms Mwanjuzi, the achievements registered under Hon. Babalanda’s leadership reflect dedication, hard work, and loyalty to national service, qualities she said make her deserving of continued trust and support.

“Her contribution to the Office of the Presidency and the country at large has been visible and impactful. Many leaders and wananchi appreciate her commitment, accessibility, and determination in serving Ugandans,” she added.

Ms Mwanjuzi emphasized that the recent appointments should inspire unity, cooperation, and collective responsibility among leaders and citizens across Busoga and the country at large, regardless of political affiliation, religion, or social background.

She called upon all leaders to remain focused on service delivery, integrity, and addressing the pressing needs of ordinary Ugandans.

“At a time when the country needs transformative leadership and national cohesion, I encourage our leaders to work together in the spirit of unity and patriotism. Development can only be achieved when we prioritize the interests of the people above personal differences,” she noted.

The Deputy RDC also urged the youth and upcoming leaders from Busoga to take inspiration from the appointments and continue pursuing education, discipline, and hard work as pathways to national service.

She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting government programs aimed at improving livelihoods, strengthening service delivery, and promoting peace and stability across communities.

Ms Mwanjuzi concluded by wishing all the newly appointed ministers wisdom, strength, and success as they begin executing their duties in service to the nation.
