There was excitement, laughter and unforgettable joy at Kampala Parents’ School (KPS) on Wednesday as hundreds of pupils spontaneously surrounded the school’s Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, eager to greet him, shake his hand and have him sign their books.
The heartwarming moment reflected the strong bond between the renowned educationist and the learners whose academic journey he continues to shape through his unwavering investment in quality education.
With smiles lighting up their faces, pupils patiently queued for autographs, while others simply wanted a chance to exchange a few words with the man widely respected for transforming Uganda’s education landscape, Hospitality Industry, real estate among others. The atmosphere was filled with cheers as teachers looked on, witnessing a memorable display of admiration and inspiration.
For many of the pupils, Dr. Ruparelia is more than the school’s chairman. He represents the values of hard work, excellence, innovation and the belief that every child deserves access to world-class education.
Speaking through their excitement, the pupils demonstrated that education extends beyond classrooms. Encounters with inspirational leaders motivate young learners to dream bigger and pursue excellence.
Located in Naguru, Kampala Parents’ School has established itself as one of Uganda’s premier primary schools, offering a holistic education that blends academic excellence with co-curricular development, discipline, leadership and character formation. The school boasts modern learning facilities, well-equipped science and ICT laboratories, a rich library, spacious sports grounds and highly qualified teaching staff dedicated to nurturing every learner’s potential.
Over the years, KPS has consistently ranked among Uganda’s top-performing primary schools in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). In the 2024 PLE results released earlier this year, the school once again registered an outstanding performance, with the overwhelming majority of candidates attaining Division One, reinforcing its reputation as one of the country’s leading centres of academic excellence.
Beyond academics, Kampala Parents’ School continues to produce confident, well-rounded learners through music, sports, debate, leadership programmes and community engagement, preparing pupils for success at secondary school and beyond.
The emotional reception accorded to Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia serves as a reminder that true leadership is measured not only by achievements but also by the positive impact one leaves on young minds.
Kampala Parents’ School continues to stand as a beacon of excellence, where learners are inspired to dream, achieve and become tomorrow’s leaders.
