LC, Women Council Elections: ONC’s Namyalo Strengthens NRM Grassroots Network With Deployment Of 2,200 Mobilisers

The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has intensified its nationwide mobilisation efforts after Manager Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo officially flagged off 2,200 mobilisers to spearhead grassroots campaigns ahead of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) LC1 elections.

The deployment, launched on Monday in Kyambogo, marks one of the ONC’s largest grassroots mobilisation exercises, reinforcing the office’s commitment to strengthening the NRM’s structures from the village level despite operating under financial constraints.

Addressing the coordinators before their deployment, Namyalo urged them to work with dedication, discipline and patriotism to ensure the NRM secures overwhelming victories in the forthcoming village elections.

She said the 2,200 mobilisers have been entrusted with the critical responsibility of mobilising support for the ruling party, strengthening grassroots leadership, monitoring the implementation of government programmes and ensuring the vision of National Chairman President Yoweri Museveni reaches every corner of the country.

“Our work is to mobilise Ugandans behind the National Resistance Movement, monitor government programmes and ensure that the vision of our National Chairman reaches every village,” Namyalo said.

She challenged the coordinators to prioritise ideological orientation over internal competition, noting that the strength and longevity of the NRM have always been anchored on disciplined cadres who understand and defend the party’s principles.

According to Namyalo, the Office of the National Chairman will continue monitoring party chairperson elections, overseeing the implementation of government programmes and submitting reports to President Museveni to support informed decision-making.

The ONC Manager reaffirmed the office’s commitment to delivering on its mandate despite receiving limited financial support.

She expressed gratitude to President Museveni for what she described as his fatherly leadership and unwavering commitment to supporting all organs of the movement.

“I thank the President for always being a father to all of us. Even in difficult circumstances, he listened and found a way to support our work,” she said.

Namyalo emphasised that financial limitations would not derail the ONC’s mission, saying dedication, sacrifice and teamwork would continue driving the office’s mobilisation efforts across the country.

She called on the coordinators to remain close to the people, promote the ideals of the NRM, monitor government programmes and ensure public initiatives deliver meaningful benefits to ordinary Ugandans.

She also underscored the importance of accountability, saying effective monitoring is essential to ensuring government resources are used efficiently and that service delivery reaches the intended beneficiaries.

Reflecting on her leadership journey, Namyalo said she has become accustomed to political obstacles and attempts to frustrate her work but remains steadfast in serving President Museveni and advancing the NRM’s mission.

She added that while she has ambitions for greater responsibilities in the future, her immediate focus is to diligently execute her current assignment and strengthen the movement’s grassroots structures.

As the 2,200 mobilisers begin their nationwide deployment, the Office of the National Chairman says the exercise will play a pivotal role in consolidating NRM support at the grassroots, promoting ideological clarity and ensuring the party is well positioned for victory in the forthcoming LC1 elections.
