Campus Lifts Cross: Mighty Victoria University Sponsors Pastor Bugembe’s 20yr Gospel Concert

By Frank Kamuntu

Victoria University Kampala has officially pledged full support for Uganda’s beloved gospel singer and preacher, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, as he marks a remarkable milestone—20 years of transformative ministry and music. The university will proudly sponsor “A Walk with Pr. Bugembe”, a landmark concert scheduled for August 8, 2025, at the prestigious Kampala Serena Hotel.

In a statement released this week, Victoria University praised Pastor Bugembe’s journey as a beacon of hope and leadership:

“From the streets to saving souls, Pastor Wilson Bugembe has transformed millions through music and compassion. As Victoria University Kampala, we will proudly sponsor his 20-year concert. A true symbol of service and bold leadership.”

Pastor Bugembe, the senior pastor at Worship House Church in Nansana, Wakiso District, has become a defining voice in Uganda’s gospel scene. His story—from living on the streets to becoming a nationally recognized pastor and award-winning musician—continues to inspire countless Ugandans, especially the youth.

A Partnership Rooted in Shared Values

Victoria University, known for championing innovation, inclusivity, and cultural engagement, sees the sponsorship as more than just corporate support—it’s a shared mission. According to the university, the collaboration with Pastor Bugembe underscores a deep commitment to empowering local talent, celebrating resilience, and promoting values-driven leadership in Uganda’s next generation.

“This is more than a concert,” said a university representative. “It’s a celebration of perseverance, faith, and the power of purpose. Pastor Bugembe embodies everything we believe in at Victoria University.”

The event promises an unforgettable evening of live gospel performances, powerful testimonies, and spirit-filled worship—chronicling Bugembe’s journey through song and story. It’s an invitation to walk with him through 20 years of music that has touched hearts, healed wounds, and brought communities together.

Inspired by fellow artist Spice Diana’s 10-year celebration, Bugembe shared that this concert is not just a personal tribute, but a moment to honor every life impacted along the way:

“It’s not just about me,” Bugembe said. “It’s about the souls we’ve reached, the tears we’ve wiped, and the hope we’ve shared.”

With tickets already on sale and anticipation building, organizers expect a full house of music lovers, faith leaders, dignitaries, and international guests. The event is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated concerts of 2025, offering a rare blend of celebration, worship, and social impact.
