In a testament to his unwavering commitment to staff welfare and holistic well-being, business mogul Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, through his five-star establishment Speke Resort Munyonyo, has once again demonstrated that a healthy workforce is the foundation of productivity and service excellence.
Last week, the resort, in partnership with Nsambya Hospital, organized a comprehensive staff health camp—an initiative designed to ensure employees remain in peak physical and mental condition. The exercise featured a range of medical screenings, wellness consultations, and health education sessions, with professional medics attending to staff on-site at the resort’s premises.
According to management, the activity forms part of an ongoing employee wellness programme that reflects the Ruparelia Group’s core philosophy: “People First.”
The health camp, conducted in a calm and supportive environment, included essential medical checks such as blood pressure and diabetes screening, dental and eye examinations, gynecological care for women, HIV testing, and general medical consultations.
Speaking during the exercise, a member of the resort’s Human Resource team emphasized that the activity sought to foster a healthy and motivated workforce.
“This is not just about health checks; it’s about showing our people that their well-being matters to us. A healthy team delivers world-class service—and that’s what Speke Resort stands for,” she said.
The partnership with Nsambya Hospital is part of Speke Resort’s broader corporate wellness strategy, perfectly aligned with Dr. Sudhir’s vision of not only building iconic infrastructures but also nurturing the human capital behind them.

From its panoramic lakeside setting to the professionalism of its staff, Speke Resort Munyonyo continues to set the gold standard in Uganda’s hospitality sector. This latest initiative further cements the Ruparelia Group’s reputation for excellence, empathy, and innovation.
