In a bold and symbolic move, Prosper Tuhaise Kururagire—fresh off a resounding unopposed victory as Mbarara District NRM Chairman—has delivered on a major campaign pledge: commissioning a state-of-the-art, multimillion-shilling NRM party office at the district headquarters in Bwizibwera.
The grand opening, held on Wednesday, drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters who hailed Tuhaise’s leadership as a blend of action, integrity, and grassroots connection.
A Promise Made, A Promise Delivered
Tuhaise, a prominent businessman and philanthropist from Western Uganda, had vowed during his campaign that leadership to him wasn’t ceremonial—it was a platform for transformation. True to his word, the sleek new office, fully furnished with high-end amenities—personally funded by the tycoon himself—now stands as a central hub for party mobilization, political education, and strategy.
“This office is not about me—it’s about the future of NRM in Mbarara,” Tuhaise declared during his speech.
“This is the center where we will hunt for votes for H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. We must thank him for leading this country well and reward him with another term in 2026. Leadership is not about occupying titles—it’s about delivering results. CEC is our next destination.”
The People’s Chairman
From his humble beginnings in Bukiro Village to rising through the NRM ranks, Tuhaise’s journey has been nothing short of monumental. He swept through village, town council, and district-level elections without a single challenger—an unopposed victory that reflects an unshakable bond with the electorate and consistent delivery on promises.
“Tuhaise is not a seasonal leader. He walks with the people, listens to us, and delivers tangible results,” said Ruth Kabagambe, an NRM supporter from Rubindi.
“That’s why no one dared contest him—and why we want him as our CEC Vice Chairman for the Western Region.”
Another excited supporter, John Byaruhanga from Kakiika Division, echoed the sentiment:
“This is the kind of leadership we have been craving—real action, not empty promises. With this new office, Tuhaise has shown he means business. We are ready to back him all the way to CEC!”
Beyond Politics: Business, Youth Empowerment, and Grassroots Power
Tuhaise’s influence goes beyond political circles. As a successful entrepreneur with business interests across Uganda and Africa, he employs thousands of youths and has consistently invested in community development, youth mentorship, and infrastructure support. His practical approach to development has made him a household name in Western Uganda.
An unwavering mobilizer for President Museveni, Tuhaise has built a reputation for hands-on leadership and loyalty to the NRM. His ability to blend grassroots engagement with strategic vision has earned him the respect of both senior party officials and everyday citizens.
Eyes on the CEC
With growing momentum and unwavering grassroots support, Tuhaise is now widely seen as the frontrunner for the NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) Vice Chairmanship for the Western Region.
Supporters at the launch event voiced overwhelming support for his elevation to the party’s top decision-making body, arguing that he not only echoes the NRM’s mission—but lives it in action.
By delivering on his campaign promise within weeks, Prosper Tuhaise Kururagire has set a new standard for political leadership in the region. For Mbarara and beyond, his actions speak louder than words, and his vision signals a new chapter for the NRM—one grounded in results, responsibility, and relevance.
