As Uganda heads toward the 2026 general elections, the conversation among young people is shifting from politics of noise to politics of purpose. At the center of this change stands Julia Muhumuza, a passionate, selfless, and visionary young woman aspiring to become the next National Female Youth Member of Parliament (2026–2031).
For many youths across the country, Julia represents a new kind of leadership one rooted in service, integrity, and inclusivity. Her campaign message, “Leaving no youth behind,” resonates deeply with the realities of millions of young Ugandans striving to find their place in a rapidly changing world.

Born and raised in a generation shaped by resilience, Julia understands firsthand the challenges facing Uganda’s youth from unemployment and limited access to education, to social exclusion and underrepresentation in decision-making spaces. Yet she also sees potential a powerful, creative, and determined generation ready to transform the nation if only given a fair chance.
“Our time is now,” Julia says passionately. “Uganda’s youth are not a problem to be managed, but a resource to be empowered. My dream is to make sure every young person, regardless of background, feels seen, supported, and included.”
Her agenda focuses on empowering youth through skills development, entrepreneurship, mental health advocacy, digital inclusion, and civic participation. She believes that leadership must be about impact, not influence — and that true representation means listening before leading.
Julia’s calm but firm personality, coupled with her sharp intellect and people-centered approach, has earned her admiration among youth networks, student leaders, and community organizations nationwide.
At a time when many young Ugandans are yearning for honesty and compassion in politics, Julia’s emergence offers a refreshing promise a leader who walks the talk, leads with empathy, and seeks to bridge the gap between youth aspirations and government policy.
Her campaign isn’t just about winning an election; it’s about restoring faith in public service. It’s a movement that reminds Ugandans that leadership can be humble, intelligent, and driven by purpose rather than privilege.
As the race for the National Female Youth MP seat (2026–2031) gathers pace, one thing is becoming clear; Uganda’s youth deserve a selfless leader like Julia Muhumuza, a leader who believes in “leaving no youth behind.”
