Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has made a bold declaration regarding the people he fears in this world.
In a recent statement, he revealed that only six individuals command his fear and respect: God Almighty, Mzee (a likely reference to President Yoweri Museveni), Maama Janet (First Lady Janet Museveni), Afande Saleh (Gen. Salim Saleh), and President Paul Kagame of Rwanda.
This revelation has sparked discussions about his influences, loyalties, and the figures who shape his worldview.
As the son of President Museveni and a key military leader, Gen. Muhoozi has built a reputation for his outspoken nature, often making headlines with his remarks on governance, security, and diplomacy.
His acknowledgment of God as the ultimate authority reflects his religious convictions, a common sentiment among many African leaders.
His father, President Museveni, has ruled Uganda for nearly four decades, making him a significant figure in Muhoozi’s life and career. Similarly, First Lady Janet Museveni, who also serves as Minister of Education and Sports, has been a guiding force in his upbringing.
Gen. Salim Saleh, Museveni’s younger brother, is another influential figure in Uganda’s military and political landscape.
His inclusion on the list suggests Muhoozi’s deep respect for his strategic military mind. President Kagame’s mention highlights Muhoozi’s long-standing admiration for Rwanda’s leader, despite past diplomatic tensions between the two nations.
This statement offers insight into Muhoozi’s inner circle and the figures who shape his decisions, emphasizing his reverence for family, military authority, and regional leadership.
