Unbwogable Namyalo Delivers! ONC’s Shafic Mwanje Scoops CEC Seat Of PWDs

By Frank Kamuntu

The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) is in celebration mood after one of its own, Hajji Shafic Mwanje, was today declared winner in the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) elections held at the Kololo ceremonial grounds.

Hajji Mwanje, who has been serving as the head of mobilization at ONC, emerged victorious to become the new Chairperson of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs). His triumph secures him a coveted seat on the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) Central Executive Committee (CEC).

The closely contested race saw Hajji Mwanje battle it out with two other candidates, but he ultimately pulled through with an overwhelming tally of more than 700 votes. His win was met with jubilation among ONC members, who say it is a clear testament to the growing influence of their team in national political dynamics.

The victory has been largely credited to the stewardship and unwavering support of ONC Manager, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, popularly known as Chief Muzzukulu. Namyalo, who has consistently rallied behind ONC members contesting for different positions, is said to have mobilized vast networks to ensure Mwanje’s win.

Hajji Mwanje’s entry into the NRM CEC is expected to give a stronger voice to PWDs within the party’s top leadership, while also cementing ONC’s rising influence in shaping the political agenda of the ruling party.

As celebrations continue, ONC insiders describe the development as a “double victory” – both for inclusivity and for the resilience of Namyalo’s leadership, which has continued to produce winners at various levels.

With this milestone, ONC has once again demonstrated its ability to rally, strategize, and deliver results, reinforcing its reputation as a powerhouse within the ruling party structure.
