Kampala-Business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia has granted permission to rally drivers and motorsport enthusiasts to utilize RR Pearl Tower One as the official assembly point for the forthcoming Late Rajiv Ruparelia Memorial Drive, in a symbolic gesture that underscores both remembrance and continuity.

The approval, communicated without delay, paves the way for a poignant commemoration scheduled for May 3, 2026—exactly one year since the untimely demise of Rajiv Ruparelia, a celebrated figure in Uganda’s motorsport circles and a director within the Ruparelia Group.

Organized under the banner of TT Drags and Drifts Uganda, the memorial drive is envisaged as both a tribute and a unifying procession for the country’s racing community. The choice of RR Pearl Tower One—an architectural landmark intrinsically tied to the Ruparelia legacy—adds a layer of symbolic gravitas, given the building’s naming in honor of the late Rajiv.
