The Manager of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) and Senior Presidential Advisor on Political Affairs, Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, emerged among the key National Resistance Movement mobilisers and loyal cadres who witnessed President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni being sworn in for his historic seventh term at Kololo Independence Grounds on Tuesday.
Namyalo, who has in recent weeks spearheaded aggressive nationwide mobilisation campaigns targeting especially the youth and the famous “Bazzukulu,” was visibly active throughout the colourful state ceremony that attracted tens of thousands of supporters, dignitaries, diplomats, and international guests.
The swearing-in ceremony, presided over by Chief Justice Dr. Flavian Zeija, officially ushered President Museveni into another five-year term from 2026 to 2031 after he took both the Oath of Allegiance and the Presidential Oath before a mammoth crowd at Kololo.
As Museveni took the oath, the venue erupted into thunderous cheers, ululations, and chants from excited NRM supporters, many of whom had been mobilised through ONC structures led by Namyalo.
In the days leading to the inauguration, Namyalo intensified mobilisation efforts across Kampala and other parts of the country, calling upon Ugandans irrespective of religion, tribe, or political affiliation to attend the national function in large numbers.
On the eve of the swearing-in, she flagged off over 1,000 boda boda riders across the Kampala Metropolitan area to rally residents and spread mobilisation messages ahead of the ceremony.
Political observers noted that the overwhelming youthful presence at Kololo reflected the growing influence of Namyalo among the Bazzukulu, many of whom consider her one of the most energetic grassroots mobilisers within the NRM today.
Throughout the event, Namyalo was seen interacting with supporters, youth groups, and senior party officials as celebrations filled the ceremonial grounds.
“We now have a new president who will take us through the presidential term 2026 to 2031. Thank you NRM cadres, leaders and mobilisers,” outgoing Vice President Jessica Alupo said during the ceremony.
President Museveni later received the instruments of power, including the Constitution, the national flag, the presidential standard flag, the national coat of arms, the public seal, and other official state symbols signifying the beginning of his new term in office.
The Uganda National Anthem was later played before a powerful 21-gun salute echoed across Kampala in honour of the President.
Museveni then proceeded to inspect the military parade for the first time after being sworn in, marking the formal commencement of his seventh administration under the theme “Protecting the Gains.”
For many NRM supporters, Namyalo’s presence at the ceremony symbolized the reward of months of relentless mobilisation and loyalty to the ruling party and President Museveni.
Her supporters say she has continued to distinguish herself as one of the President’s most dependable fighters, especially among urban youth and grassroots structures where she has consistently championed government programs and strengthened support for the Movement.
As Uganda enters another political chapter under Museveni’s leadership, several NRM cadres credited mobilisers like Namyalo for energizing supporters and ensuring a massive turnout that turned Kololo into a sea of yellow during the historic inauguration ceremony.
